SOx Control
SOx Abatement
Sulfur Oxide is a nuisance air pollutant that comes from the burning of fossil fuels (such as coal and oil as well as the smelting of mineral ores like aluminum, copper, zinc, lead, and iron). The EAI Water and ApHinity have developed a solution to destroy SOx from industrial processes in order to make sure our customers meet all environmental and regulatory requirements.

Removal or mitigation of sulfur oxide (SOx) compounds are regulated by local and federal regulations and require treatment for achieving environmental compliance. The patented use of gas phase chlorine dioxide is capable of reacting and these removing SOx emissions. The Electricide® chlorine dioxide generators utilise one chemical – Electricide-P1 and electrical power to produce 99.5% pure chlorine dioxide. The generators come in two forms: “S” type generators produce chlorine dioxide as a 2,000 ppm solution, stored in a level controlled solution tank, ready for accurate dosing with metering pumps to multiple dosing points. The “G” type generators produce chlorine dioxide gas which can be safely dosed into a single dosing point. The key benefits of the Electricide® generator are the use of only one precursor chemical, highest safety and lowest running cost. Another important feature is remote internet access for validation and troubleshooting. SOx emission removal rates of over 95% are achievable in this proprietary process.
